When it is completed in 2018, the Crossrail project linking destinations east and west of London through the heart of the city is estimated to bring 1.5million more people within a 45-minute commute of the centre of the capital. Already a popular place to settle for discerning commuters, Gerrards Cross will benefit from the new rail link as it is just seven miles from Burnham station.

The Buckinghamshire market town is the location for one of Millgate's current luxury new homes developments, Alderbourne Place. This gated development features just 12 properties: four townhouses and eight large, detached family homes. It has already been a hit with local homebuyers, with some 700 people coming to view the show home in just two months since it was launched and three properties already reserved. Prices currently start at £930,000.

Jonathan Cranley, sales and marketing director for Millgate, says: "Gerrards Cross is already superbly located for a swift commute into the capital but with the new Crossrail network on the town's doorstep it will be even easier for residents to reach their workplaces. Indeed as the latest research from Knight Frank has revealed, property prices around Crossrail stations in central London are set to rise by up to 43% and with this ripple effect expected in surrounding commuter towns such as Gerrards Cross, this is a good time to buy."

Gerrards Cross has a great selection of shops, amenities and schools in the town itself and in the surrounding area. It combines a setting within pleasant Bucks countryside with proximity to major transport links such as the M40 and M25.
