It is one of the most sought after postcodes in Essex with its reputation for luxurious properties and a lifestyle to match as depicted in The Only Way is Essex. Being 30 minutes from Loughton, where many of the stars of the show have their own shops, and Liverpool Street Station, Epping Forest is a dream location with its quick transport links, range of excellent local facilities and leafy surroundings. Oaklands by Warren Hill Development Co Limited is a new gated development at the edge of the forest with three bespoke five-bedroom homes. The three properties, The Chesnuts, Maple House and Oaklands House, each have their own unique feel with different key features, layouts and bathroom and kitchen suites.

Oaklands House is the first property you see when entering the development and it instantly makes an impression. The largest of the three properties has a large open plan kitchen, dining and day room area which is perfect for entertaining and for family life. This kitchen comes with a Richard Baker oak island, hand painted units and Miele appliances. There is also a formal reception room overlooking the landscaped garden – the only flat one of the three plots.

The master bedroom boasts a stunning en suite with feature oval bath, freestanding, decoratively tiles, wall and a wet room area and a large walk in dressing room which could double as an office.  The room also has a private terrace area and each of the other four large bedrooms, split between floor three and four, have an en suite. The front garden also has a one-off hand woven willow fence.

The first thing that strikes people entering Maple House is the stunning staircase. Created from walnut and glass, the balustrade on each floor combines well with a glass panel on the roof and makes a striking impression as you look up from the groudn floor. Elsewhere on the ground floor there are two reception rooms, one to the front and one to the rear, with full length picture windows. This property also boasts a Richard Baker kitchen with a walnut island and painted units but comes with Siemens appliances.

All of the bedrooms in the property have en suites and three of the bedrooms are on the third floor along with a study, roof store, and terrace and a dressing room off the master bedroom. The fourth floor has two further bedrooms.

Furthest away from the oak gates, The Chesnuts is tucked away at the highest point of the development. Set over four floors, this property is on a split level so that the kitchen overlooks the open plan day room with large full length windows and a door out to the carefully landscaped garden. The kitchen is a bespoke Richard Baker design and is in the popular mixed unit style with a walnut central island and hand painted cabinets. The integrated appliances are Miele. On the same floor as the kitchen there is also a reception room.

The second floor is dedicated to four of the five bedrooms and the final one is on the top floor. Three out of the five have en suites, with several of these having a shower and a bath. The master bedroom also has a dressing room and a Velux Cabrio window which transforms into a fold-away balcony.

Each property comes with a double garage and basement area with two spacious rooms, one air conditioned and one not. These basement areas all come with landscaped light wells to ensure plenty of natural light. Oaklands House is £2,450,000, Maple House is £2,350,000 and The Chesnuts is £2,250,000.
