Residential property developer Taylor Wimpey has announced that it will be sponsoring the 13th annual Guisborough in Bloom event.
By sponsoring several flowering baskets on the lamp columns in the town, the house-buillder is part of a project to brighten up and regenerate central Guisborough.
Ian Jones, treasurer for Guisborough in Bloom explained how fundamental sponsorship is to the project: "Guisborough in Bloom is a fantastic way to not only revitalise key areas of the town centre but also to drive tourism into Guisborough and help our local businesses.
"The flowers look beautiful and as we rely solely on sponsorship and fundraisers, without donations, like the one we've received from Taylor Wimpey, the project would simply be unable to go ahead."
Debbie Whittingham, regional sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey North Yorkshire commented: "Guisborough in Bloom is a wonderful project and also a great way to help the environment.
"With our Spring Lodge development based right in the heart of the town we were thrilled to not only help out but make Guisborough an even more desirable location for our new residents."
