Gold - Weston Homes - King's Island, Denham, Uxbridge
Housebuilder Weston Homes won gold for Best Interior Design at their prestigious Mayfield Grange development in the beautiful countryside setting of East Sussex.

Mayfield Grange is the conversion of Mayfield College and consists of 16 three-, four- and five-bedroom houses and 39 new-build apartments in two new buildings, The Great Hall and The Chapel. Set within 20 acres of grounds, Mayfield Grange features woodland and a pavilion which houses a residents' gym. The new homes have been carefully designed to fit seamlessly alongside The Great Hall and The Chapel. Prices start from £350,000.

Bob Weston, Chairman and Chief Executive of Weston Homes, comments: "Lots of people struggle when downsizing to an apartment, whether it's a case of their furniture being too big to fit into the home or simply a lack of storage space, but in The Great Hall at Mayfield Grange, you won't encounter any of these problems.

"These luxurious apartments provide the ultimate in superlative living, with each benefiting from a unique and spacious layout of over 2,000 sq ft, which is perfect to meet the demands of residents' lifestyles."

Silver - St James - Queens Acre, Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire
Set amidst the picturesque avenues of the leafy Old Town of Beaconsfield, Queens Acre by St James, part of the Berkeley Group, was awarded silver in this category.

This brand new development is almost completely sold and only a selection of two-bedroom apartments and a four-bedroom house remains, set in the grounds of a historic building around a restored landscaped walled garden. Prices start from £829,950.

Also voted Best House, What House? judges were impressed by the décor executed by Alexander James Interior Design which was described as "elegant and restrained throughout, with especially good use of textured wallpapers, tactile fabrics and quality materials".
Positioned in a convenient yet tranquil location, Queens Acre is within walking distance of Beaconsfield New & Old Town and is very close to both the M40 and train station providing good transport links to both the motorway network and London.

Bronze - Octagon - Canford Heights, Poole, Dorset
The stunning new show apartment, designed by Hill House Interiors, has just opened at Canford Heights, Octagon's first Poole development, which won bronze for Best Interior Design at the What House? Awards 2011.

Hill House Interiors were set the challenge to create the most sumptuous and memorable scheme for the show apartment, using high quality and specially commissioned furniture, lighting and artworks. Art deco inspired, in a stunning colour palette of burnished bronze and pewter, this truly glamourous home features contemporary bespoke occasional furniture, glass and carved wood cabinetry and exotic soft furnishings.

Each of the four apartments and the penthouse at the development feature three large double bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms, a separate study, large open plan reception rooms with fireplace, extending into the kitchen and family room. Private terraces and balconies are accessed from all the Master bedrooms and reception rooms, and there is one double garage per property.

"We are delighted that the judges voted it [Canford Heights] a winner amongst some very tough competition," said Octagon's David Smith.

Bronze - Berkeley Homes - The Target Living Collection, The Armouries, Royal Arsenal Riverside, London, SE18
This category also saw Berkeley Homes win bronze for The Target Living Collection, a collection of eight three-bedroom mews houses occupying the West Range of The Armouries at the Royal Arsenal Riverside development in London, praised for its clever space planning making the homes appear "significantly larger" given each property is only just over 1,000 sq ft.

Rupert Bates, editorial director of whathouse.co.uk, commented: "The Berkeley Group is one of the UK's best new home developers. Having earned themselves a first-class reputation for building top quality new homes across London and the Home Counties constructing lavish houses to top quality apartments, they aspire to cater to all buyer needs."
