Laurna Robertson rounds up the affordable housing on offer in the housing associations in Cambridgeshire. These associations offer shared ownership.

Cross Keys Homes

Based in Peterborough, Cross Keys Homes is the biggest housing association in the city and has recently received nearly £4million from the Homes and Communities agency, which together with its existing on -site projects will create 700 new homes by 2015. They have a range of shared ownership properties currently available.

The Castle Service

Based in the historic centre of university city Cambridge, the society was founded in 1966 by members of the University to provide much-needed affordable housing for local residents. The Castle Service offer shared ownership properties through Homelink.

Muir Group

Based in Huntingdon, Muir Group Housing Association aims to provide quality, affordable housing for Cambridgeshire and they offer a range of shared ownership and leaseholder options. They have their own specialist new-build shared ownership website www.yourownspace.org.uk.

CHS Group

This group provides a wide range of high-quality, good value homes, support and care services across Cambridgeshire with homes from housing associations dating back to the 1970s. Cambridge and County developments is the branch of the CHS Group which deals with shared ownership developments and they currently have four developments with properties available.

Wherry Housing Association

As part of Circle Housing Group, Wherry own and manage 6,900 homes across Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire and Hertfordshire. They currently offer Right to Buy and SocialHomebuy which grants purchase outright or shared ownership.
