New affordable homes in Surrey
A planning application to develop 30 new homes, including 15 affordable homes, on a former sheltered housing site in Horley, has been submitted by Redhill-based housing association Raven Housing Trust. If approved, the development will feature 21 houses, seven flats and two bungalows.
Affordable homes in Nottinghamshire
Up to 146 new affordable homes will be developed in Nottinghamshire as part of wider regeneration schemes in the area, thanks to a partnership between building contractor Westleigh Developments, housing provider Derwent Living and several local authorities throughout the county. Plans are in place for the construction of 38 new two-bedroom bungalows for over 55s in Nottingham city centre, along with 108 much-needed affordable homes for local families in the surrounding areas.
Affordable new homes in Rochdale
A £3.2m affordable housing development is well under way in Rochdale. Specialist affordable housing developer, Mulbury Homes, is developing 32 properties on Boundary Street on behalf of Great Places Housing Group. The new houses will be a mix of two-, three-and four-bedroom houses made available for affordable rent. The scheme is due to be completed in June 2014.
Affordable homes in London
Plans for 12 affordable homes at Millbrook Park, close to Mill Hill East underground station, have been approved by the London Borough of Barnet. Countryside Annington Ltd, a joint venture between Countryside Properties and Annington Developments, will fdevelop the new homes to achieve Level Four of the Code for Sustainable Homes. The affordable properties will be available through Notting Hill Housing Trust.
New affordable homes in Edinburgh
Work has started on the construction of 60 affordable homes in the Craigmillar area of Edinburgh, as part of Edinburgh Council's 21st Century Homes for Edinburgh programme - which is aiming to build up to 1,400 homes to rent or buy in the city. The programme has already delivered over 100 new homes in the Gracemount area. Developed by Hart Builders, the new homes scheme will feature a mix of modern houses and flats.
Affordable new homes in Crewe
A planning application for the construction of 14 affordable homes on part of the 1644 Nantwich battlefield has been submitted by Mulbury Homes Ltd. The developer has earmarked the land next to Acton Primary School on Chester Road for the development, which includes creating a new parking area for the school.
