Plans to develop two residential property developments featuring a total of 69 new homes in Cherry Willingham will go ahead despite some opposition from local residents.
Charles Barnett wants to construct 37 detached, semi and terraced houses on land off Hawthorn Road.
A further 32 properties, including 24 affordable homes, are scheduled for development by the Lindum group in Waterford Lane.
A group of local villagers have spoken out against the schemes and applied to have the planned construction of the new homes scrapped.
They are concerned that extra residents in the area will add to existing traffic levels.
But West Lindsey District Council decided there were no valid reasons reject either application, especially in light of the existing housing shortage.
Local estate agent Andrew Rollinson hailed West Lindsey council's planning department for approving the planning applications for the Waterford Lane developments which have been in the planning pipeline for well over two years.
He told the press: "It was considered that this development was sustainable and there would be no harm to the amenity of residents."
