Leading Scottish homebuilder Springfield Properties has announced that sales will open on Easter Friday 29th March for its new Robinsland development of 91 homes, the first housing development in the village of West Linton in a decade.

Only a 30-minute drive from Edinburgh, West Linton is a beautiful conservation village and Robinsland will be adjacent to the new primary school, which will be open in time for the summer term.

The mix of detached, semi-detached and terraced homes is complemented by the transformation of existing farm buildings into four new steadings. At the heart of the development will be The Square and a small village green, maintaining the village feel of the local community.

Developed to meet the Scottish government's Designing Streets agenda, the layout, by local architects Aitken Turnbull, maximises open views and space around the houses. There will be pedestrian and cycle routes around the development and a new footpath connection, linking Robinsfield to the nearby community hub.

Nine new housetypes will be available, starting from 900 sq ft and ranging up to 2,500 sq ft, with a choice of two-, three- and four-bedroom homes which will attract a variety of buyers, from downsizers to those starting a family.

All houses come with a high specification as standard and Springfield's Choices programme, which allows homeowners to personalise their home, designing their kitchen and even moving internal walls to suit how they live.

Tricia Malek, sales director at Springfield Properties says: "We have already had a great deal of interest in the Robinsland development because there is so little movement in the housing market in the area. The village itself is extremely desirable for those looking to live in a more rural setting, but still be close to Edinburgh."
