Stewart Milne Homes has launched a new development of family properties in Gorebridge, just 12 miles from Edinburgh city centre. Kirkhill Rise is a collection of three-, four-, five- and six-bedroom homes located in a picturesque rural setting a short drive from the heart of the capital.

With homes priced from £162,950, the new collection also offers value for money, particularly for those looking to move out of Edinburgh city centre. Marlyn Boal, sales director for Stewart Milne Homes Central Scotland, says: "The more rural locations across Midlothian, like Gorebridge and Bonnyrigg, are becoming increasingly popular, particularly with families, as they offer the best of both worlds - an idyllic setting close to a main route into the city. We are confident these new homes at Kirkhill Rise will be very well received."

House-hunters can choose from five individual styles of home, ranging from a three-bedroom terraced mews to a three-storey, five-bedroom detached villa. Each home provides bright, spacious interiors and a flexible, modern layout with a generously sized living room and fully fitted eat-in kitchen, with double French doors leading onto a rear garden. Master bedrooms come complete with either a fully fitted or walk-in wardrobe, while larger styles also enjoy an en suite shower room.

All kitchens are finished to a high specification, complete with the latest appliances including stainless steel oven, hob and hood and a choice of quality units, worktop and fixtures for an all-important personal touch. Larger homes also include an integrated fridge-freezer, built-in dishwasher and microwave.

The detached homes at Kirkhill Rise are available in a selection of styles to suit a variety of individual tastes and lifestyles. Each features an expansive breakfasting kitchen and family area at the heart of the home. Some feature a separate formal dining room while others offer the option to create a fully open-plan dining kitchen. Larger styles also offer guest en suite facilities and fitted wardrobes in the second and third bedrooms, for maximum space and convenience.

The five-bedroom ‘Kellingside', for example, offers three spacious storeys of living space with two double bedrooms and a Jack and Jill en suite shower room on the top floor, ideal for older children looking for their own space.

All homes come complete with a family bathroom and WC on each floor, a utility room or store and built-in storage throughout. Four- and five-bedroom detached homes also include a single garage and private driveway.

The MI New Home mortgage scheme is available to first-time buyers and movers at Kirkhill Rise.
