Leading regional developer Hillreed Homes, winners of a Bronze for Best Medium Housebuilder at the What House? Awards 2012, have announced a host of new sites to be developed in 2013, adding to their impressive range of new homes in Kent and the southern Home Counties.
The company, acquired by national housebuilder Persimmon towards the end of last year, has announced nine new developments to come online in the coming 12 months in many of its key regions.
"We are delighted to be launching all these sites in the coming year," says Jo Richards, marketing and corporate manager at Hillreed Homes. "There is a wide range of types from bungalows and apartments to four- and five-bedroom detached family homes: so, something for everyone."
In Kent, the company is planning to build 150 homes, a mix of two-, three- and four-bedroom properties, in Iwade, 52 two- and three-bedroom homes in Ashford, three four-bedroom chalet-style bungalows in Hoath, a collection of 13 two-, three- and four-bedroom properties in Leigh and five three- and four-bedroom homes on the outskirts of West Malling.
There are two new developments planned for East Sussex, with nine two-, three- and four-bedroom houses and bungalows due for construction in Hassocks and an exclusive scheme of three large five-bedroom detached houses in the heart of the South Downs in Findon, outside Worthing.
A small development of five plots of two-, three-, four- and five-bedrooms homes is set for Horsham in West Sussex and another exclusive scheme of four detached four- and five-bedroom executive properties is on the way in Eastergate, east of Chichester.
Sales continue apace at a number of Hillreed Homes developments already underway. Richards adds: "We also have current sites including Cathcart Gate at Kings Hill, Eccles near Aylesford and Lower Halstow near Sittingbourne all in Kent and one luxury detached five-bedroom house at [Emett Gardens in] Ditchling in East Sussex. In Godalming in Surrey, we have had tremendous interest in our two-bedroom mews-style homes [at Tanners Mews] and there are now only four remaining. In Medstead, Hampshire we currently have two developments, such is the popularity of this location."
Darren Jones, managing director of Persimmon Homes South East says: "Our recent acquisition of award-winning Hillreed Homes is perfect, as it has an excellent reputation for quality of build and a high level of sites in good locations. We anticipate with confidence an exciting 2013 as we continue to grow as a company and as the country pulls out of the recession."
