House-hunters are invited to come to Taylor Wimpey's latest scheme of new homes in North Yorkshire this weekend as the housebuilder opens the doors of the development to the public for the first time. From Saturday 5th January, homebuyers will be able to visit Brookdale, in the village of Aiskew, in person. The event takes place from 11.00am to 4.00pm.

Debbie Whittingham, sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey North Yorkshire, says: "We're delighted to be opening Brookdale to the public and look forward to welcoming house-hunters from near and far, and introducing them to our innovative schemes available. A number of homes at Brookdale will be available through the NewBuy scheme and our shared equity Easystart scheme, which will allow new buyers the chance to get their dream home with just a 5% deposit."

Prices are yet to be confirmed for the collection of three- and four-bedroom homes, so anyone interested in moving to the area is urged to attend to find out details of the house types on offer and how much they will cost. Thanks to the NewBuy and shared equity deals, these new homes should be more affordable to more buyers, either with a low-deposit mortgage or with an interest-free equity loan for up to 15% of the property price. The mix of home types will attract first-time buyers, downsizers and growing families alike.

Aiskew is just on the outskirts of the market town of Bedale, close to the A1 and situated between the varied scenery of the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors National Parks. Bedale has a range of essential amenities including a weekly market and a number of excellent leisure facilities and sports clubs.

The A1 is just a few minutes away, granting easy access to towns such as Darlington, Ripon and Harrogate and bringing destinations further afield, such as Tyneside and the cities of South Yorkshire, within convenient reach.

Whittingham adds: "Brookdale is set in a fantastic location and if early interest is anything to go by, we expect it to be an extremely popular development. With the sales office now open and a show home to follow in the spring, I'd recommend any interested parties to get in touch or visit soon to avoid disappointment."
