National housebuilder Miller Homes has announced its plans to bring 380 new homes to the East Midlands region in 2013. With a number of active developments already underway in the region, the company is reinforcing its presence there by unveiling more employment opportunities as well as a wide range of new homes in Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire.
The plans entail the construction of the following new developments:
- 127 properties on a 8.5-acre site on Sheffield Road, Chesterfield
- 180 homes on a 35-acre site in Sileby, Leicestershire
- 55 properties on a 3.9-acre development in Castle Donington, Leicestershire
- 18 homes on a 2.9-acre site in Berry Hill, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire
Paul Walters, regional sales manager for Miller Homes in the East Midlands, says: "As a housebuilder, we're always looking for and receiving potential opportunities for development and the fact that we're in a position to take on four new sites is a reflection on an improving market. Enquiry levels and demand across the region are increasing as consumer confidence grows, so we're aiming to meet that need with a wide choice of quality and affordable new homes. The land that we've acquired will increase our geographical spread across the region, and also present opportunities for local contractors who act as our partners in the building process."
The new developments will provide a variety of property types with from one to five bedrooms, with appeal to house-hunters across the spectrum. In addition, Miller Homes has a portfolio of incentives and assistance schemes on selected plots to help a multitude of buyers, including NewBuy 95% mortgages, FirstBuy, shared equity, deposit match and part exchange.
Paul Walters adds: "In addition to the new developments, I can also announce that we will commence work on phase two of our popular Stretton Glen development in Great Glen, Leicestershire, creating an additional 55 properties."
