Housebuilder Taylor Wimpey is inviting local residents and prospective homebuyers to inspect preliminary plans, including initial artists' impressions, for a new proposed development in Cheltenham.
The developer wants to build around 100 new homes at a plot in in Gloucester Road which is currently occupied by Travis Perkins.
The building supplies company, which has occupied the site for 13 years, is developing a new base at the former Bonella Works site in Tewkesbury Road which it will move to next year.
Taylor Wimpey will submit an official planning application for the proposed development once it has received feedback from member of the general public who are invited to come and inspect initial artists' impressions for both projects this week.
This week, some 2,000 letters have been sent to people living in the area inviting them to drop-in meetings at Travis Perkins on Friday and Saturday.
Plans for the new homes have yet to be confirmed, but it is reported that they will be primarily three- and four-bedroom family houses, with a proportion of affordable homes.
"We want as many people as possible to come along and see our plans," said Philip Court of Taylor Wimpey.
The informal drop-in sessions will take place at Travis Perkins on Friday, from 10am to 6pm, and on Saturday, from 10am to 3pm.
