Renowned developer Hyde New Homes is set to launch a collection of six penthouses at its popular Super B development in central Brighton today. The two- and three-bedroom properties go on sale at the scheme, situated just a stone's throw from Brighton station.

Prices for these premium properties start at £450,000, which equates to as little as £508/sq ft, considerably less than the £1,000+/sq ft that leading agent CBRE reports that London buyers are expected to pay for equivalent properties in the capital. The London Evening Standard reported yesterday that up to 40% of homes in the Brighton and Hove area are bought by London ‘exiles' looking for better value property that is still within easy reach of the capital.

The penthouses sit above the collection of 147 stylish apartments at Super B. Some 67 of them have already been sold or reserved. The penthouses all have secure parking, larger floorplans and spacious roof terraces with views across the Brighton skyline and beyond to the seafront. White Ash Amtico flooring to the living areas, underfloor heating, high-gloss contemporary kitchens with appliances and glass-fronted wardrobes typify the modern, stylish design ethic while the Code for Sustainable Homes Level 4 building standard ticks the box for the latest eco-friendly build and running costs.

For buyers looking for a good view but for whom the penthouses may be beyond their budget, a small number of fourth- and fifth-floor apartments are also still available with prices starting at £350,000.

A show apartment is available for viewing on site, with renowned local artist Louise Dear showcasing her work along with the latest addition to Hyde New Home's service portfolio, Style Studio. This complimentary service offers owners the convenience of buying the latest interior design furnishings without having to leave their home, with a specialist interior consultant able to procure a range of window treatments and furnishings to suit the buyer's tastes and budget.

Debbie Small, director of Hyde New Homes, says: "The new penthouses at Super B represent outstanding comparative value for money, giving buyers the chance to own some of the largest apartments at the development for a fraction of the cost of London prices. Thanks to Super B's location, buyers can enjoy a relaxed lifestyle by the seaside yet still be back in the capital within an hour."

Hyde New Homes will be launching developments in St. James's Street and Hove Park soon.
