Three generations of family are now living next door to each other at Morris Homes' popular Regents Crescent development near Telford - thanks to the housebuilder's Part Exchange scheme.
Keen to gain more space and move closer to a good choice of schools, new parents Caroline and Wayne Lacey found their ideal three-bedroom home when they visited Regents Crescent in Muxton, about five miles from the centre of Telford. Designed in the style of an English Garden suburb, the development incorporates a range of three- and four-bedroom homes priced from £184,750. Situated in a tranquil spot, the development is close to the countryside yet is ideally located for the M54, offering easy access to Birmingham.
The Laceys accelerated their move by taking advantage of Morris Homes' Part Exchange scheme, in which the housebuilder buys the old property for 100% of its market value.
Caroline's parents, John and Kath Sharp, were also planning to move house, and were equally impressed by the Telford development. They too used the Part Exchange scheme to move in to a three-bedroom detached home - right next door to their daughter and her family.
"With our new family, we desperately needed more space," explains Caroline. "Regents Crescent has great access to local amenities and good schools, so it seemed like the perfect place for us to settle. It was a real coincidence that my parents had also been interested in purchasing a home at the development, and we were really shocked when we realised that we were going to be living next door to each other."
Morris Homes' Part Exchange scheme aims to take much of the stress out of selling an existing property and moving - by helping to eliminate the risk of an offer falling through.
"We were all reluctant to get caught up in unreliable property chains, and so when we found out about the Part Exchange scheme, we realised that we would be able to sell our homes without the worry of the buyer pulling out," explains Caroline. "It's going to be great living so close to each other, especially with a new baby in the family."
Cindy Cade, regional sales director, says: "It's great to welcome both the Laceys and the Sharps to Regents Crescent, which is a popular development with families looking to settle down."
Prospective buyers can find out more about the homes and purchase assistance schemes available at Regents Crescent by visiting the sales office at Marshbrook Way, open daily from 10.30am to 5.30pm.
